CTO at LINQ · Founder, Summit Foundry Group

Eric Wood

I'm a technology executive who has spent twenty-plus years helping SaaS companies scale: building first products, modernizing platforms, and leading through the stretch where a company is working out what it wants to be next. I'm CTO at LINQ. Summit Foundry Group is the small diligence and advisory practice I run alongside that.

Why this practice exists

Skills that are spiky and project-shaped

Most CTOs aren't running an acquisition, a carve-out, or a diligence every quarter. I have, repeatedly, and those are the moments where a second experienced person is worth the most and hardest to find. The practice is deliberately small so that the answer to 'can you look at this deal' is usually yes.

Summit Foundry Group is a small practice I run alongside my role as CTO at LINQ. I take one diligence at a time, or one or two advisory relationships, and I'll tell you on the first call if I'm full.

How I work

Written findings, short

A readout the people deciding can read in fifteen minutes, with the evidence in an appendix for the people doing the work.

Operator's lens

I run an engineering organization today. Findings come with a cost, a time, and an owner, because that's what I'd need to act on them myself.

Replaceable by design

The register is built to hand over. The best outcome is a team that doesn't need me and a firm that calls for the next one anyway.
